Nice hip new hotel, worth its 4 stars. Well-appointed and absolutely fabulous room, stunningly beautiful view of the town and surrounding Rioja region. Attentive and knowledgeable staff and historic location close enough to a hill overlooking the La Rioja wine region, the restaurant, and wineries for tours or the local Briones bodegas. Fab meal at in-house restaurant. Honestly nothing too much trouble.

Limited options for casual dining outside of the fine dining experience!!! Noise from adjoining rooms really disrupts the peace and quiet you hope for during a stay!!! The gym could use proper amenities and cleaning supplies!!!

The rollercoaster I didn't see coming

The staff were helpful, providing excellent restaurant bookings & suggestions! Dining in the atmospheric cave restaurant.

Navigating the narrow roads to the hotel was quite tricky! Sadly, noise from neighboring rooms disrupted our peaceful getaway.

The hot wok dishes were a flavor explosion and paired perfectly with their excellent local wines. The breakfast spread was a feast of delights, from pastries to eggs made just how you like! Plus, the stonework in our room felt luxurious.

While the restaurant was dubbed 'gastronomique', it didn't quite hit the mark and seemed pricey compared to other local Michelin-star gems we tried. Navigating the narrow lanes to the hotel was a bit of a trek, but let's be real, everything else shined so brightly.

A decent option for a stopover in Briones with really good value. The breakfast spread was excellent, with a great variety of pastries. For a more enjoyable stay, having a car is essential due to the location.
